A turtle was sitting beside a busy road when a chicken walked up to him.
“What are you doing here?” the chicken asked.
The turtle pointed across the road and said,
“My friend is over there. Some troublemakers flipped him onto his back, and I’m waiting for a big enough break in traffic so I can go help him.”
The chicken smiled.
“I’d be happy to help him for you.”
The turtle looked surprised.
“Why would you do something so kind for me?”
The chicken stood quietly for a moment, thinking hard.
Finally, it shrugged and said,
“I have no idea.”
