An old man bought a well from a clever businessman.
The next day, while walking to the market, he met the seller.
The man said,
“I sold you the well, but I didn’t sell you the water inside it. If you want to use the water, you’ll have to pay me.”
The old man looked at him for a moment.
Then he smiled and replied,
“That’s interesting. I was actually planning to come and ask you to remove your water from my well. If you don’t, you’ll have to start paying me rent for storing it there.”
Moral of the story:
Sometimes, being too smart doesn’t pay!
