A wife asked her husband to drop her off at a friend’s house, where a wedding reception was being held.
Wife:
“Could you please drop me off at the wedding?”
Husband:
“I’m going to be busy at the office all day. Here’s some money for a taxi.”
So the wife took a taxi to the reception.
While she was there, she met a friendly young woman, and the two quickly became friends.
Later that evening, as the guests were leaving, the woman asked,
Girl:
“How are you getting home?”
Wife:
“My husband is busy at the office, so I’m going to take a taxi.”
Girl:
“My boyfriend brought me here and is coming to pick me up. I just spoke to him, and he’s on his way. Why don’t you ride with us? We can drop you off at your house.”
The wife agreed.
A few minutes later, a car arrived.
The young woman happily got into the front passenger seat and asked the wife to sit in the back.
The wife climbed into the back seat, looking a little confused.
Girl:
“Let me introduce you to my boyfriend.”
The man turned around to greet the wife and immediately recognized her.
It was her husband!
There was an awkward silence for the rest of the drive.
As planned, he dropped his wife off at home first, then continued on to drop the young woman at her house.
Now the big question is:
If you were the wife, what would you do when your husband came home?
And if you were the husband, what would you say when you got home?
