A young teacher was giving her sixth-grade class a large assignment one morning. She stood at the chalkboard, reaching high to write the instructions.
Suddenly, one of the boys started giggling.
She turned around and asked, “Pat, what’s so funny?”
Pat nervously replied, “I just saw one of your garters!”
The teacher immediately pointed toward the door.
“Out of my classroom! I don’t want to see you for three days!”
Pat quickly grabbed his things and left.
The teacher turned back to the board and continued writing. Then she realized she had forgotten to write the assignment title at the very top.
She reached up to fix it.
Another boy began laughing.
“Billy! What’s so funny?” the teacher demanded.
Billy replied, “I just saw both of your garters!”
The teacher was furious.
“Out! And this time, I don’t want to see you for three weeks!”
Billy hurried out of the classroom.
The teacher sighed and turned back to the board. A moment later, she accidentally dropped the eraser.
As she bent down to pick it up, she heard another burst of laughter.
But this time, she noticed Little Johnny was already walking toward the door.
“Johnny! Where do you think you’re going?”
Johnny didn’t even turn around.
“After what I just saw, my school days are over!”
