A husband and wife had an argument and stopped speaking to each other.
Three days passed in complete silence.
One evening, the husband remembered he had an important meeting the next morning and needed to wake up early.
He wanted his wife to wake him at 6:00 a.m., but he was too stubborn to break the silence.
So he wrote a note that said:
Please wake me up at 6:00 a.m.
He left it where she would see it and went to bed.
The next morning, he woke up, looked at the clock, and was horrified.
It was 9:00 a.m.
Furious, he stormed into the kitchen and shouted,
“What happened? I asked you to wake me up! Now I’m late!”
Without saying a word, his wife pointed to the bedside table.
There was a note that read:
It’s 6:00 a.m. Wake up!
The husband stood there speechless.
