A woman went shopping. At the checkout counter, she opened her purse to pay.
The cashier noticed a TV remote inside and couldn’t resist asking.
Cashier:
“Do you always carry a TV remote with you?”
Woman:
“Not usually. My husband refused to come shopping with me because he wanted to watch a football match, so I brought the remote with me.”
The cashier laughed.
Cashier:
“Well, that’s one way to get his attention!”
He then returned all the items she had purchased.
Woman:
“Why are you returning everything?”
Cashier:
“Your husband has blocked your credit card.”
The woman smiled, reached into her purse, and pulled out her husband’s credit card.
Woman:
“That’s okay. I’ll use his card instead.”
She swiped it, and the machine displayed:
“ENTER THE PIN SENT TO YOUR MOBILE PHONE.”
The woman calmly reached into her purse for her phone.
It started ringing.
She looked at the screen and smiled. It was her husband’s phone, along with the verification message.
She had brought his phone too, just in case he tried to call her while she was shopping.
She entered the PIN, paid for everything, and happily headed home.
When she arrived, however, her husband’s car was gone.
On the table was a note:
“Couldn’t find the remote. I’ve gone out with the boys to watch the football match. I’ll be home late. Call me on my phone if you need anything.”
And that’s when she realized the remote was still in her purse.
Moral: Don’t try to control your spouse. You might end up losing the remote!
