A little bird fell out of its nest and decided to explore the world around it.
Before long, it met a large, furry animal.
“Hello! I’m a little bird. Who are you?” the bird asked.
“Hello,” the animal replied. “I’m a wolf-dog.”
“A wolf-dog?” the little bird said. “How can that be? You have to be either a wolf or a dog!”
The animal smiled.
“My mother is a dog, and my father is a wolf. That’s why I’m a wolf-dog.”
“Oh, wow!” said the little bird. “I learned something new today. Thank you!”
Then it happily flew away.
After a while, the little bird reached a river and saw a fish swimming upstream.
“Hello, fish! I’m a little bird. Who are you?” it asked.
The fish replied, “I’m a salmon trout.”
“A salmon trout? That can’t be right! You have to be either a salmon or a trout!”
The fish answered,
“My mother is a trout, and my father is a salmon. That’s why I’m a salmon trout.”
“That’s amazing!” said the little bird. “I learned something else today. Thank you!”
The bird flew off once again.
A little later, it spotted a tiny insect buzzing through the air.
“Hello! I’m a little bird. Who are you?” it asked.
The insect replied,
“I’m a tiger mosquito.”
The little bird looked at it for a moment and then shouted,
“Yeah, right!”
