A hunter planned a relaxing safari vacation with his wife. To his disappointment, his mother-in-law came along as well.
From the moment they arrived, she complained about everything.
“The air is too dry.”
“The food tastes strange.”
“These wild animals don’t look very friendly.”
The husband smiled politely but secretly thought the animals were probably thinking the same thing about her.
One morning, his wife looked around and suddenly asked,
“Where’s Mom?”
The husband stretched and said, “Maybe she went out to organize the jungle.”
But after a while, they realized she was actually missing.
“We have to find her!” his wife said in a panic.
With a deep sigh, the husband agreed, and they headed into the jungle to search for her.
After walking for some time, they reached a clearing and stopped in their tracks.
There was the mother-in-law, standing face-to-face with a huge lion.
“Oh my goodness!” the wife cried.
The lion stood still. The mother-in-law looked terrified.
“Quick!” the wife shouted. “Do something!”
The husband calmly folded his arms.
“Oh no,” he said.
His wife looked at him in disbelief.
“What do you mean, ‘oh no’? Help her!”
He pointed at the lion and replied,
“That lion got himself into this mess… let him get himself out.”
For a moment, everything was completely silent.
Even the lion looked like it wasn’t sure what to do.
After a few seconds, it slowly backed away, as though it had realized it had made a very bad decision.
Because even in the wild, there are some situations no one wants to deal with.
