A lion finally got the chance to take a lioness on a romantic picnic after chasing her for months.
While they were enjoying their date, a monkey jumped out and started making fun of the lion.
Lioness:
“Aren’t you going to teach him a lesson?”
The lion looked at the monkey and calmly replied:
Lion:
“Forget him. Just ignore him.”
The lioness found this a little strange but decided to enjoy the date.
A few minutes later, the monkey jumped out again and started teasing the lion.
Lioness:
“Either you go teach him a lesson and stand up for yourself, or I will!”
Lion:
“Sweetheart, just ignore him. Trust me.”
The monkey wasn’t finished. He started making rude gestures, calling the lion names, and generally making a fool of himself.
The lioness finally had enough. She jumped up and chased the monkey into the forest.
They raced over a pond, jumped across ditches, and ran through the trees until the monkey disappeared into a hollow log.
The lioness followed him and became stuck with her head inside the log and the rest of her body outside.
The monkey calmly came out the other side and disappeared into the forest.
After a few minutes, the lioness finally managed to free herself. Embarrassed, she returned to the lion.
The lion looked at her and said:
Lion:
“He took you to the log, didn’t he?”
