Brendan had spent a week visiting his family in Kentucky.
When it was time to leave, his sister-in-law and his seven-year-old nephew went with him to the airport.
After checking in and confirming his seat, Brendan returned to where they were waiting.
“It looks like I’ll have to stay at the airport for another three hours,” he said.
“Why?” his nephew asked.
“My plane has been grounded,” Brendan explained.
“Grounded?” the little boy said with a surprised look.
“I didn’t know planes had parents.”
