One fine morning, an elderly couple was having breakfast together.
The wife suddenly asked her husband,
“Will you get married again after I die?”
The husband looked surprised.
“What a gloomy question! We’re enjoying a beautiful morning, and you bring up something like that?”
But she didn’t let it go.
That night, she asked him the same question.
The next day, she asked again.
And the day after that.
Finally, after several days, the husband sighed and said,
“Yes… if it will make you happy, then yes, I probably would.”
The wife nodded.
“Would you sell our house?”
“No,” he replied.
“I like this house.”
“Would you sell our bed?”
“No.”
“Would you let your new wife use my golf clubs?”
The husband smiled and said,
“No… I don’t think so.”
“Why not?” she asked.
“Because she’s left-handed.”
