One day, a hungry fly was buzzing around a barn when she spotted a fresh pile of cow manure.
Since she hadn’t eaten in hours, she landed and started feasting.
She ate and ate until she was completely stuffed.
When she finally tried to fly away, she discovered she was too full to get off the ground.
Looking around for a solution, she noticed a pitchfork leaning against the wall.
She climbed all the way to the top of the handle and thought,
“If I jump from up here, I’ll be in the air long enough to start flying.”
So she jumped.
Unfortunately, her plan didn’t work.
Instead of flying, she dropped straight to the floor with a thud.
Moral of the story:
Never fly off the handle when you know you’re full of it.
