A city man went to the countryside to buy a pig.
When he met the pig farmer, he said,
“I’m looking for a pig that weighs about 25 pounds.”
The farmer picked up the pig, put its tail in his mouth, bobbed his head up and down a few times, and then said,
“This one’s too heavy. It weighs 30 pounds.”
The city man looked confused.
“I don’t believe that’s any way to weigh a pig.”
The farmer called over to his son.
“Come here and weigh this pig.”
The son picked up the pig, put its tail in his mouth, bobbed his head a couple of times, and said,
“Yep, 30 pounds.”
The city man shook his head.
“You two are pulling my leg.”
The farmer smiled and said,
“Go get your mother. She’ll weigh the pig too.”
The son went into the house.
A few minutes later, he came back alone.
The farmer asked,
“Well, where’s your mother?”
The son replied,
“Mom’s weighing the mailman.”
