A woman accompanied her husband to the doctor’s office.
After the check-up, the doctor asked to speak with the wife privately.
Once they were alone, the doctor said,
“Your husband is suffering from a very serious stress disorder. If you don’t follow my advice, he could die.”
The wife listened carefully as the doctor continued.
“Every morning, prepare him a healthy breakfast. Be pleasant and supportive at all times. Make him a nutritious lunch and a nice dinner every day. Don’t burden him with household chores. Avoid discussing your own problems with him, as that will increase his stress. No nagging. And most importantly, make love to your husband several times a week.”
“If you can do all of this for the next ten months to a year, I’m confident your husband will make a full recovery.”
On the drive home, the husband turned to his wife and asked,
“What did the doctor say?”
The wife looked at him and replied,
“He said you’re going to die.”
