A newlywed couple was lying in bed when the husband curiously asked his wife how many men she had been with.
The wife said nothing and continued staring at the ceiling.
After a moment, the husband asked again,
“Come on, you can tell me. It’s okay. How many men have you been with?”
Still, she remained silent, her eyes fixed above.
Thinking he might have upset her, the husband apologized.
“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to make you uncomfortable. I just thought we could be completely open and honest with each other.”
But the wife still didn’t respond.
Finally, the husband sighed and said,
“That’s alright. Please don’t be upset.”
Wanting to make her feel better, he wrapped his arms around her and gave her a hug.
Suddenly, she looked away from the ceiling and turned to him with an annoyed expression.
“Oh, come on!” she said.
“You’ve made me lose count!”
