A husband told his wife,
“I’m leaving tomorrow for a three-day church conference.”
His wife packed his bag, made him breakfast, and before he left, she said,
“Come, let’s pray together.”
The husband smiled.
“Of course.”
The wife began praying out loud,
“Lord, please keep my husband safe on his journey.”
“Amen,” the husband replied.
She continued,
“Lord, keep his heart and mind faithful. Protect him from temptation wherever he goes.”
The husband quietly said,
“Amen.”
Then she prayed,
“And Lord, if he even thinks about cheating on me, let him remember his vows and turn back immediately.”
The husband stopped responding.
Finally, she added,
“And if he plans to do anything foolish… let this conference be canceled!”
The husband suddenly stood up and said,
“You know what?”
“I just remembered…”
“The conference has been canceled!”
