A bride was feeling very nervous on her wedding day, so she went to speak with the priest for some advice.
The priest smiled and said,
“Don’t worry. Just take it one step at a time. As you walk in, first look at the aisle. Then look at the altar, where your groom will be waiting. Finally, listen to the hymn as you walk toward him.”
The bride thanked him, and the ceremony began.
Everything went beautifully, but the guests noticed something unusual.
As the bride walked down the aisle, she quietly kept repeating to herself,
“Aisle… Altar… Hymn… Aisle… Altar… Hymn…”
To everyone else, it sounded like she was saying,
“I’ll alter him… I’ll alter him… I’ll alter him.”
