A young boy decided he wanted to learn the language of animals.
He said to his father,
“Dad, there’s a school where they teach people how to understand animals. Please give me the money so I can go and study there.”
His father agreed and paid for his education.
A year later, the boy returned home.
His father wanted to test him.
“So, son,” he asked, “did you really learn the language of animals?”
“Yes, Father,” the boy replied.
“Do you hear that cow? She’s saying she’s about to give you 10 liters of milk.”
“That’s impossible,” his father said. “She never gives more than one liter.”
Still, he milked the cow.
To his surprise, she gave exactly 10 liters of milk.
His father was amazed but thought it might just be a coincidence.
A little later, the boy said,
“Do you hear that hen? She says she’s about to lay five eggs.”
“That can’t be true,” his father replied. “That hen has never laid an egg.”
But when he checked, there were five fresh eggs waiting.
Now his father was beginning to believe him.
The next day, the boy saw a donkey running away while braying loudly.
His father was chasing after it, trying to pull up his trousers at the same time.
As he ran, he shouted,
“Don’t believe that donkey! She’s lying! Don’t listen to her, son!”
