Little Johnny came home with his history test, and the score on it was 90.
His father was thrilled.
But his mother, Karen, found it hard to believe that Johnny had scored 90 in history.
She looked at the paper more closely and noticed that the handwriting for the 9 and the 0 looked different.
“Johnny,” she said, “you’re busted. Tell me the truth. Did you add the 0 to your score?”
“No, Mum, I didn’t.”
She asked again,
“I’m asking you one more time. Did you add that 0 to your score?”
“Mum, no, I didn’t add the 0.”
“Alright,” she said. “Since you’re not telling the truth, you’re grounded for one month.”
“Mum, please! I really didn’t add the 0.”
“This is your last chance,” she said. “Tell me the truth.”
Johnny sighed and replied,
“…I just added the 9 to it.”
