A woman in a supermarket noticed a grandfather shopping with his badly behaved grandson.
The little boy was screaming for candy, biscuits, and anything else he could see.
The grandfather stayed calm and quietly said,
“Easy, William. We won’t be here much longer. Take it easy.”
A few minutes later, the boy had another tantrum.
The woman heard the grandfather say,
“It’s okay, William. Just a couple more minutes and we’ll be out of here. Hang in there.”
By the time they reached the checkout, the boy was throwing items out of the shopping cart.
The grandfather calmly said again,
“William, William, relax. Don’t get upset. We’ll be home in five minutes. Stay calm, William.”
The woman was amazed.
Outside, as the grandfather was loading the groceries and the boy into the car, she walked over and said,
“I hope you don’t mind me saying this, but you were incredible in there. You stayed so calm the whole time, even with William causing all that trouble. He’s very lucky to have you as his grandfather.”
The grandfather smiled and replied,
“Thanks.”
“But I’m William.”
“The little bugger’s name is Kevin.”
