A grandmother called her grandson, who had recently gotten married. He told her that he and his new wife would soon visit so he could introduce his bride.
Grandma was thrilled and began explaining how to reach her apartment in the retirement building.
“When you get to the front entrance,” she said, “you’ll see a button to ring my apartment. Press it with your elbow, and I’ll unlock the door.”
“You’ll hear a buzzing sound. Then push the door open with your elbow and walk to the elevator.”
“Press the Up button with your elbow. When the elevator arrives, step inside and press the 4 button with your elbow.”
“When you get to the fourth floor, walk to apartment 420 and press my doorbell with your elbow. I’ll open the door.”
Her grandson laughed and said,
“Grandma, don’t worry. We can manage all of that. But why do you want us to press every button with our elbows?”
Grandma quickly replied,
“What? Are you planning to come without bringing gifts for your grandmother?”
