An old man was lying across three seats in a movie theater.
When the usher walked by and saw him, he quietly said,
“Sorry, sir, but you’re only allowed to use one seat.”
The old man just groaned and didn’t move.
The usher became more impatient.
“Sir, if you don’t get up, I’ll have to call the manager.”
Again, the old man only groaned.
The usher returned a few moments later with the manager.
Together, they tried several times to get the old man to move, but he wouldn’t budge.
Finally, they called the police.
The officer looked at the man and asked,
“Alright, buddy, what’s your name?”
“Fred,” the old man moaned.
“Where are you from, Fred?” the officer asked.
In a voice full of pain, and without moving a muscle, Fred replied,
“The balcony.”
