The animals in the forest worked together to build a public restroom for everyone to use.
After it was finished, Owl, the wise mayor of the forest, proudly opened it to the public.
The very next morning, Owl went for his usual walk and was shocked to find one of the restroom windows smashed.
He immediately called a meeting with all the animals.
“I’m sorry to say this,” Owl announced, “but someone has broken the restroom window. If anyone knows what happened, please speak up.”
The animals stayed quiet until Rabbit slowly stood up.
“I’m afraid it was me,” Rabbit said. “Bear was using the stall next to mine and realised he had run out of toilet paper. He grabbed me, used my fluffy fur instead, and then threw me out the window.”
Since Bear was the biggest and strongest animal in the forest, nobody wanted to argue with him. The other animals simply repaired the window, and everything was back to normal by the afternoon.
The next day, Owl went for another walk.
To his surprise, the same window had been broken again.
Once more, he gathered everyone together.
“Does anyone know what happened this time?”
Otter raised a paw.
“It happened to me,” Otter admitted. “Bear ran out of toilet paper again, used my fur instead, and threw me through the window.”
The animals sighed, fixed the window again, and hoped the problem was finally over.
On the third morning, Owl went to check the restroom once more.
This time, the window was still intact.
But an entire section of the wall had collapsed.
Owl called another emergency meeting.
“Can anyone explain what happened today?”
Hedgehog slowly stood up and said,
“Well… Bear was in the stall next to me…”
