Two elderly Irish friends were sitting in their favorite pub, enjoying a drink and talking about the future.
After a thoughtful pause, one of them said,
“You know, Mr. O’Shea, we’ve shared many wonderful years together. If I happen to pass away before you, it would mean a lot to me if you’d say a few kind words at my grave.”
His friend smiled and replied,
“I’d be honored to do that, Mr. O’Donnel. I’d be happy to.”
Then he added,
“But if I should happen to go first, I’d have one favor to ask. For old times’ sake, would you pour a bottle of fine Irish whiskey over my grave?”
His friend nodded.
“That I’ll do. I’d be glad to.”
Then he paused for a moment and asked,
“But would you mind if it passed through my kidneys first?”
