Little Johnny and Susie, both five years old, were playing house.
After a while, they decided it was time to get married.
So Johnny went to Susie’s father and politely asked for permission.
Susie’s dad smiled and asked,
“So, where are you two going to live?”
Johnny replied,
“I’ll just move into Susie’s room. It’s big enough for both of us.”
Trying not to laugh, her father asked,
“And how will you support yourselves?”
Johnny answered,
“I get $5 a week for allowance, and Susie gets $5 a week too. That should be enough.”
Amused by Johnny’s confidence, Susie’s father asked one last question.
“And what will you do if children come along?”
Johnny smiled and replied,
“Well… we’ve been lucky so far!”
