A man walked into a bar and asked the bartender,
“If I show you a really good trick, will you give me a free drink?”
The bartender thought about it for a moment and agreed.
The man reached into one pocket and pulled out a tiny rat.
From another pocket, he produced a tiny piano.
The little rat stretched, cracked his knuckles, sat down at the piano, and began playing the blues.
Amazed, the bartender handed the man a free drink.
After finishing it, the man asked,
“If I show you an even better trick, will you give me free drinks for the rest of the night?”
Certain nothing could top the first trick, the bartender agreed.
Once again, the man took out the tiny rat and the tiny piano.
The rat started playing.
Then the man reached into another pocket and pulled out a tiny bullfrog.
The frog began singing along perfectly with the rat’s music.
Everyone in the bar was stunned.
A stranger walked over and said,
“I’ll give you $100,000 for that frog.”
“Sorry,” the man replied. “He’s not for sale.”
The stranger raised the offer to $250,000.
The man still refused.
Finally, the stranger offered $500,000 in cash.
The man accepted the offer and handed over the frog.
After the stranger left, the bartender stared at him in disbelief.
“Are you crazy? That singing frog could have been worth millions!”
The man smiled and said,
“Don’t worry about it.”
“The frog isn’t anything special.”
“The rat’s the ventriloquist.”
