A little girl was talking to her teacher about whales.
The teacher explained that it was physically impossible for a whale to swallow a human because, although whales are very large mammals, their throats are too small.
The little girl replied,
“But Jonah was swallowed by a whale.”
The teacher, becoming a little irritated, repeated,
“A whale cannot swallow a human. It’s physically impossible.”
The little girl smiled and said,
“When I get to heaven, I’ll ask Jonah.”
The teacher replied,
“And what if Jonah went to hell?”
The little girl answered,
“Then you ask him.”
